Memorial Day!

It's Memorial Day, and it's more than just a day off, or a day to gather with friends and family. It's a day to remember our brave men and women that have given the ultimate sacrifice so that we can enjoy this day of freedom...may we never take it for granted!
So I hang my flag with pride knowing that it is because of those that gave their lives that I can live in a Country that is free! God Bless America!

Relax And Enjoy Life!

Manny and I took a couple of much needed days off to relax. We enjoyed being at home, our spa is our favorite place right now. The view of the mountains from our patio is breathtaking. Most people laugh when they hear we live in the desert, but to us it is our place of "refuge". Just up the road is the Silverwood Lake and we enjoyed a morning drive through the hills today.
We are blessed to enjoy our life together.

A Picture Says A Thousand Words...

In a snap shot... Brad did the Worm, April is a little Funky (her Mom would be soooo proud):), Zack does dishes, Bonnie, hey where are the pictures of you on the dance floor?.... Sarah and Mikey wonder "who invited these people?"... It is said you can't pick your family they are God's gift to you! LOL







So, the reception was fun... I was the responsible adult.... :)Have I said that before.... and April was just angelic!

There's Nothing Like Family!

The wedding was beautiful, but the memories are a special gift. How wonderful God is to give us families, sometimes they drive us crazy but when it all comes down to it... they are a reflection of eternity. Selah

It was fun to see the different types of personalities in our circle of friends. One common thread was how our lives should reflect our passion, Mikey and Sarah's reflect theirs.

For me, it's about do you know and love God, because eternity is a long time... the grass withers and the flowers fade...

That is my prayer for all those that attended the wedding, that in the midst of all the fun, they will know God.

Today's The Day!

Packing and getting ready to meet the Johnson clan... Today is Mikey and Sarah's big day! I'm sure it's going to be a day to remember! When I think of Sarah I remember the little girl always attached to her Mom's side. One year I made her and Melody dresses for Christmas, Sarah's was red with a pinafore. On the collar I hand sewed a piece of Great Grandma Johnson's lace. Melody's was blue with a pinafore. (that's a little smock for those of you too young to know) LOL. So off I go to see my family... can't wait to post some pictures.

Tomorrow's The Big Day!

Tomorrow's the big day for Mikey and Sarah! After all these years they have decided to have a marriage ceremony... :) I'm glad for them, there is something about standing before God and others to say "I do", However, for many it means "I will", until I decide "I won't"...

Anyway, it is going to be a fun weekend, April and David just came in from Boston and we are all staying at the Marriott together. Zack and Bonnie will meet us there for the wedding.

I packed the domino's so we can hang out in our hotel room after the reception. April and David are a blast to play games with, and Zack and Bonnie love being with family, I'm not sure what they are bringing but I'm sure it will add to the fun of being together.. Aunt Sue and the cousins!

A Birthday In Heaven

Today is my Dad's birthday, in heaven...Wow!!! What a glorious celebration that must be! I sure miss him, he could always make me laugh... and sometimes we were the only ones who got it. We would drive my Mom crazy with our politics, religion and interesting sense of humor.

A Cake For Mommy...YUM

Okay, so they made a cake for their Mommy, we also made cupcakes to do a taste test... we knew we couldn't eat the cake before Mommy arrived... smart Grandma, huh? :)
And of course, what bowl do you use when baking? A yellow bowl, just like Grandma Goldie! William just enjoyed the benefit of his brothers hard work! :)
